This was a special session for me. Now, don’t get me wrong, all of my sessions are special! But this one was especially sweet. Mrs. K and I have known each other since elementary school, but haven’t seen each other in almost 15 years! She’s been one of the biggest supporters of my photography, and I’ve treasured our Facebook friendship for years.

Looking at these photos makes me both happy (mostly!) and sad (a little). The W family moved to the Bay Area just a few days after our session, and I miss my friend Mrs. W already! Mrs. W and I worked together for a little over two years, and I could always count on her for a smile and a kind word. She is one of the most energetic and creative women I know, and the office just doesn’t have the same energy without her.

Little F’s parents introduced me to Kelsey Creek Farm in Bellevue for this photo shoot, and I know it won’t be my last visit — the trails and open green spaces are so lush and beautiful.

I was honored to spend time with little CJ just 8 days after he was born! His parents are two of my most treasured friends, and truly one of the most amazing couples I know. They are incredibly kind and generous, and always have time to share with friends, whether they have known them for 10 years or 10 minutes. CJ is such a lucky little guy to call them “Mom” and “Dad.”

I LOVE the Bellevue Botanical Garden. The variation in backdrops is truly stunning — from the alpine rock garden on one end, to the Japanese garden on the other, and so many varieties of trees and flowers in between. Benches, stairs, pathways, and trails — this place really has it all.
