Miss B’s momma is my oldest friend — we have been friends since we were 5 years old! I loved photographing Miss B’s first birthday party last year, and can’t believe just how much she’s grown in the last year. While her birthday isn’t for two more months, we wanted to take advantage of the beautiful summer sunshine.

Meet one of my favorite families! Miss R’s momma and I became fast friends at our last job, and I have loved watching her story unfold — attending her wedding to Mr. Y and watching their sweet little daughter join their family. Miss R’s first birthday session last year remains one of my very favorite sessions. This year, to celebrate Miss R’s second birthday, we visited Kelsey Creek Farm.

This was a special session for me. Now, don’t get me wrong, all of my sessions are special! But this one was especially sweet. Mrs. K and I have known each other since elementary school, but haven’t seen each other in almost 15 years! She’s been one of the biggest supporters of my photography, and I’ve treasured our Facebook friendship for years.

Looking at these photos makes me both happy (mostly!) and sad (a little). The W family moved to the Bay Area just a few days after our session, and I miss my friend Mrs. W already! Mrs. W and I worked together for a little over two years, and I could always count on her for a smile and a kind word. She is one of the most energetic and creative women I know, and the office just doesn’t have the same energy without her.

have known Little F’s parents for about twenty years — hard to believe! Momma and I grew up playing soccer together, and can you tell she still loves the sport?! Those little soccer ball Baby Legs are soooo cute! Little F’s parents introduced me to Kelsey Creek Farm in Bellevue for this photo shoot, and I know it won’t be my last visit — the trails and open green spaces are so lush and beautiful.

What a fun time I had with the B Family on a rainy day in December! Mrs. B wanted to get some photos in before the holidays, and she wasn’t phased by the rain. We captured both classic and out-of-the-way Market locations, while sneaking in to some warm nooks and crannies to recharge.

What a fun photo shoot I had with M, her mom, and a good friend.  We explored the University of Washington campus for over two hours, and little M didn’t miss a beat.  She loved exploring the rose garden, climbing the big library staircase, and hopping up on the benches.

What a sweet extended family!  Mrs. S and I have been in the same book club for six years now.  Every month, we share great conversation, a delicious dessert, and just way too much fun.  I was honored that Mrs. S entrusted me with her family photos.  She brought along her own family, her brother and his family, and her parents.  We got some great shots of each family, the entire group, and some precious shots of the grandparents and grandkids.  And, to top it all off, we had a beautiful, sunny evening at the Bellevue Botanical Gardens.   Just look at those sweet faces!
