Miss B’s momma is my oldest friend — we have been friends since we were 5 years old! I loved photographing Miss B’s first birthday party last year, and can’t believe just how much she’s grown in the last year. While her birthday isn’t for two more months, we wanted to take advantage of the beautiful summer sunshine. Momma got balloons and cupcakes, and we headed to Gas Works Park for some of the best backdrops in Seattle — the cityscape, the big bronze industrial equipment, and the sprawling grass lawn.

Miss B is just a bundle of energy, running everywhere! We had such a fun morning keeping up with her. My favorite moment came after Miss B asked her momma for a cupcake. As soon as momma gave in, Miss B acted completely disinterested — she turned her back on the cupcake, crossed her arms, and gave her best pouty face! Of course, it was short lived. Miss B pretty quickly decided the cupcake was worth it, and couldn’t get enough of the frosting! Happy second birthday, Miss B!!
